Samsung Electronics tops list of companies’ semiconductor investment over past 3 years


Samsung Electronics has spent more on
semiconductors than any of its global competitors over the past few years as
it bids to lead the global market going forward according to market researcher I
see insights on Thursday the tech giant’s capital expenditure on
semiconductors from 2017 to 2019 amounted to almost sixty six billion
u.s. dollars Intel the second largest spender spent forty three billion
dollars over the same period samsung plans to make massive
investments in memory chip infrastructure to prepare for the future
other leading chip makers are also expected to have increased their
investments
